BLACK ARTS MATTER FESTIVAL IN MADISON, WI
The Black Arts Matter Festival is an interdisciplinary presentation and celebration of Black artists. With a focus on performance art, BAM provides a platform for Black artistry that grapples with a myriad of topics surrounding the Black experiences and all of its intersections. The Black Arts Matter Festival is both an entertaining and educational experience, providing shows that inspire, challenge and inform audiences on the Black experience through art activism.

We are looking forward to the 2023 Black Arts Matter Festival which will be held November 8-12. This year's festival includes an art exhibit by illustrator Mawhyah (presented by the Wisconsin Union Directorate Art Committee), an all-star poetry slam featuring some of today's top poets, a comedy performance from Jerrod Carmichael, a headliner concert by R&B band Tank and the Bangas and more! Tickets are on sale now, and all the excitement kicks off starting November 8.
